What are good problem-solving activities for teams?

Problems with a real constraint and a way to check the answer. Crack the Case! gives each team puzzles and clues that lead to a final case the whole group solves together. Mavericks Murder Mystery puts teams inside a VR crime scene with AR evidence to work through before time runs out. SmartHunts send teams across a city, campus or venue on iPad missions that reward a plan. Chocolate Architect and Gingerbread Architect are engineering problems with edible materials. Momentum and Pipeline are build-and-test challenges where the chain reaction or marble run either works or it does not.

Every program runs with a professional facilitator, most take 30 to 1,000+ participants in teams of 4 to 10 working in parallel, and each ends with a result the team can check: a solved case, a scoreboard, or a structure that holds.

On behalf of my team, we’d like to thank you guys for setting up such a great SmartHunt program in Washington DC. Even though a few were wary at first, my team had a great time doing the scavenger hunt and your lead facilitator Joe was excellent! Thanks again.

Your lead facilitator was outstanding as was her staff. Due to the rain that day we had a bit of a disaster at our afternoon activity and she really helped us turn the experience around for the group… from grumpy to excited and competitive!!! She was so flexible and on the fly adapted her program to fix our shifting schedule and made it fun and action packed. I just can’t say enough good things about her. My boss, our group, and myself were so happy.
