How a hosted virtual holiday party works
- Step 1:
Send the date, a rough headcount and the video platform you use: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex or your own.
- Step 2:
We set up the game and send the link. Players join from a browser with nothing to download; headphones and a steady connection help.
- Step 3:
On the day, the host welcomes the group, explains the scoring and forms the teams.
- Step 4:
Teams play the rounds while the scoreboard updates live, and the host keeps the banter going.
- Step 5:
The final scoreboard names the winners. For the escape rooms, teams play in their own time slots and the scoreboard is shared once every team has finished.
Planning around time zones and headcount
A remote team rarely shares one evening. The virtual escape rooms solve that: every team picks its own time slot, so an office in London and an office in Los Angeles play the same game at hours that suit each. Virtual Escape Room: New Year’s Eve Adventure works the same way for a New Year’s party.
