What is a virtual game show for team building?
A virtual game show is a hosted competition played over a video call. A professional host shares the game board on screen, reads the questions and keeps score live, while players buzz in or answer from their own phone or browser. Most of our virtual game shows run 60 to 75 minutes for groups of 30 to 1,000+.
The formats follow shows people already know. Virtual Best Corporate Feud plays survey rounds on an answer board, Virtual Jeoparody! puts five categories on the board each round, and Virtual Trivia Blast! scores every player on speed and accuracy. We bring the game platform and the host; your team brings a laptop, a stable connection and, for most formats, a phone to answer on.

How a virtual game show runs
- Step 1:
Send the date, a rough headcount and the video platform you use. Virtual Best Corporate Feud runs on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex or your preferred platform.
- Step 2:
Pick the format and send any company questions or categories you want in the game. We handle the game design and the pre-event coordination.
- Step 3:
On the day, the host welcomes the group, explains the scoring and, for most formats, runs a quick tech check.
- Step 4:
Players join the game from a phone or browser with no app to download, and choose the name that appears on the scoreboard.
- Step 5:
In many formats the points per question rise as the rounds go on, so a trailing player can still win. The final scoreboard names the champions.
Put your company in the questions

Your own survey questions
Virtual Best Corporate Feud takes up to five company questions, and branded backgrounds or scoreboards can be added.
Your own categories
Virtual Jeoparody! has five categories each round, and any of them can be written about your company or team.
Product and company rounds
Virtual Trivia Blast! can include rounds on company history or product knowledge, which makes it a good sales meeting break.
An onboarding game
The Virtual Orientation Game Show quizzes new hires and interns on your history, values and goals in about 75 minutes.
Planning around time zones and headcount
A game show is live, so everyone plays at the same hour. For a team spread across the United States, a slot in the early afternoon Eastern time lands during the working day on both coasts. If a group cannot share an hour at all, our virtual escape rooms let each team pick its own time and share one scoreboard at the end.
Most virtual game shows run for 30 to 1,000+ players. The decade shows (Virtually Back to the 90s, Virtually Super ’70s and Virtually 21st Century Buzz) are sized for up to 100. Across all our programs we run events for groups of 20 to 6,000+.
Virtual game shows you can book
Each one comes with a live host and runs on your video platform. The full list of in-person and virtual formats is on the game shows page.

“It was great! Your facilitator is WONDERFUL to work with. As a 3rd party event/meeting planner, I am obsessive about details and he made my role easy and enjoyable. On game day, he made me feel confident we would have a wonderful teambuilding event. And we did! Your entire team made the experience delightful. Everyone in the process was ‘on point,’ friendly, and helpful. Looking forward to doing another event together.”

We very much enjoyed our Virtual Best Corporate Feud program! It was great because we had 3 new employees who were thrown into breakout rooms and they got to know the other staff. It was a great way to get together during these trying times. Excellent event, everyone had a lot of fun!

Frequently asked questions
What platforms do virtual game shows run on?
Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex or the platform you already use. The host shares the game board on the call, and players answer through a game site in their browser, so there is no app to download.
How many people can play?
Most of our virtual game shows run for 30 to 1,000+ players. The decade trivia shows are sized for up to 100. Across all our programs we run events for groups of 20 to 6,000+.
How long does a virtual game show last?
Most formats run 60 to 75 minutes, which fits a lunch break or the end of a meeting. Virtual Match Me If You Can runs 1 to 1.5 hours, and the Virtual Orientation Game Show about 75 minutes.
Can teams in different time zones play together?
Yes, as long as they can join at the same time, because the host runs the show live. Pick an hour that falls in everyone’s working day. When that is impossible, a virtual escape room lets each team play at its own time.
How are teams formed?
It depends on the format. In Virtual Jeoparody! the group is split into teams that score together while each player buzzes in on a phone. Virtual Best Corporate Feud plays as individuals or teams. Virtual Trivia Blast! scores each player, with team or breakout room scoring as an option. If you want departments mixed, tell us when you book.
Who hosts the game show?
A professional game show host from our team. The host welcomes the group, explains the scoring, runs every round and keeps the banter going, so no one from your company has to run the show.
What does each player need?
A computer on the video call and a stable internet connection; headphones help. The trivia formats, Virtual Jeoparody! and Virtual Name That Tune! also use a phone or tablet to answer. Virtual Guess that Price needs a webcam and microphone for the scavenger hunts.
Can we add questions about our own company?
Yes. Virtual Best Corporate Feud takes up to five of your own questions, Virtual Jeoparody! lets you write custom categories, and Virtual Trivia Blast! can include company history or product rounds.
How much does a virtual game show cost?
Pricing depends on the headcount and the format. Send the date and a rough number of players, and a program specialist replies with a written quote the same business day.
Can the same game show run in person?
Yes. Best Corporate Feud, Jeoparody Live! and Trivia Blast Live! run at your venue with podiums, buzzers and a host. See what a corporate game show host does and all our game show programs.
