What are good fall team building activities for work?
Fall is when most companies gather: sales kickoffs, annual conferences, department offsites before year-end. The programs that fit are the ones that work indoors or out, because the weather decides late. Corporate Survivor, Team Olympics and Build-a-Raft Competition run in either setting; City SmartHunt and Amazing Chase SmartHunt take the group out into the host city on foot with our SmartHunts app.
Fall is also the last window to run a charity program before the holiday rush: Bears and Blankets, STEM Backpacks for Kids, Operation Military Care and Helping the Homeless all run 1 to 2 hours and deliver donations that land before Thanksgiving.

Outdoor while it lasts
- City SmartHunt®
- Teams explore the host city with our SmartHunts app: photo and video missions, trivia and live scoring. 2 to 2.5 hours, 30 to 1,000+.
- Corporate Survivor
- Tribal challenges in rounds, indoors or out, 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Team Olympics
- A multi-event competition that scales from 30 to 1,000+ and moves inside if the forecast says so.

Indoor when it turns
- Game shows
- Best Corporate Feud, A Minute 2 Win It! and Trivia Blast Live! fit a conference agenda in 1 to 2 hours.
- Build programs
- Build-a-Guitar, Build-a-Band and Bridge to the Future keep a ballroom busy for 2 to 2.5 hours.
- Food Truck Face-Off
- A culinary competition that runs indoors for 30 to 1,000+.
Give back before the holidays
Bears and Blankets (1 to 1.5 hours), STEM Backpacks for Kids, Operation Military Care and Helping the Homeless (1.5 to 2 hours) turn a fall meeting into donations delivered to local partners before the season.

Frequently asked questions
Which fall team building activities can move indoors if it rains?
Corporate Survivor, Team Olympics, Build-a-Raft Competition, A Minute 2 Win It!, Trivia Blast Live!, Bridge to the Future, Bears and Blankets, STEM Backpacks for Kids, Operation Military Care and Helping the Homeless are all listed as indoor/outdoor programs. Best Corporate Feud, Food Truck Face-Off, Build-a-Guitar and Build-a-Band are indoor programs by design.
How far ahead should we book a fall program?
Fall is the busiest conference season, so dates in September through early November fill first. Get the date and city to us as early as you can; program choice can follow.
Can we run a charity program in the fall?
Yes, and fall is the natural time: donations from Bears and Blankets, STEM Backpacks for Kids, Operation Military Care and Helping the Homeless reach local partners before the holidays.
What about a fall program for a remote team?
Virtual editions of the game shows and SmartHunts run for distributed teams. See our virtual programs.
How big a group can a fall program take?
Every program on this page runs for 30 to 1,000+. City SmartHunt and Amazing Chase SmartHunt split the group into teams that explore the host city; the charity programs and game shows scale by adding teams in the same room.
What do we need to provide for an outdoor fall program?
An outdoor space of about 25 square feet per person, and an indoor back-up space of comparable size in case of weather. SmartHunts need only a start and finish point; we bring the iPads, the app and the facilitators.
Do the charity programs include the donations?
Yes. The bears and blankets, backpacks and school supplies, military care items and care package contents are included, along with the facilitators, materials and coordination with the receiving organization.
