The details
How Locate & Donate SmartHunt® works
Embark on a Locate and Donate SmartHunt®! Teams navigate a custom route on iPads, solving text, photo, and video challenges for points. Uncover a hidden charitable mission as you collect surprise packages. At the end, assemble puzzle pieces to reveal a donation check to your chosen charity! Enjoy a highlight reel and full event dashboard. It’s fun with a cause!
Ice Breaker and Training (15-20 Minutes)
We start with fun icebreakers and energizers that introduce participants in an engaging manner while forming teams and assigning captains. We then distribute iPads® to the teams and supply them with a quick training on the SmartHunts App.
SmartHunts® Game (1-2 Hours)
SmartHunts include challenging teambuilding activities that encourage your group to think SMART, discover local gems, solve clues, answer trivia, perform tasks, and complete fun photo and video challenges shot on their SmartPhones during games.
Award Ceremony (15-20 minutes)
Awards Ceremony includes bragging rights and Olympic-style medals presented to all members of the winning team, and a live-feed, company branded, multi-media presentation of the best photos and videos shot by your teams during their SmartHunt.
Locate and Donate SmartHunt® is one of our exhilarating programs where teams navigate through a customized route to complete text, photo, and video challenges on their iPads to earn points. Unbeknownst to the participants, a charitable mission is hidden in the fun and excitement of the event.
We begin with an engaging Program Launch activity that results in the formation of teams. The first step includes analyzing the informational clues while attempting to develop the best possible strategy to move your team efficiently through the course in the time allotted.
SmartHunts® are high-tech scavenger hunts run on Apple® iPads® that utilize text messaging, audio, video, FaceTime®, social media, QR Codes, and GPS with built-in Mapping. Along the route, your teams will have to find our challenge station where they’ll receive a surprise package if they can successfully complete their challenge. See every hunt we run as a professional scavenger hunt company.
To the surprise of the participants, previously collected packages are opened at the ending location to reveal puzzle pieces. When assembled, the pieces form a large bank check donation to an organization of your choice in any amount you desire.
Our Facilitator app also creates a slideshow of your hunt during the event, so when your group returns to the ending location, the best photos and video clips shot are already up on the big screen!
At the conclusion of the program, you will receive access to our proprietary event dashboard, which provides a full leader board, with scoring, photos, and videos from each group and a professionally produced highlight video of the entire event. Now, that’s SMART! CHECK IT OUT!
To ensure a great experience, aspects of this program may be modified to benefit your group size, group makeup, and time available.

What clients say about Locate & Donate SmartHunt®
Your team came well prepared and energized for our Locate and Donate Scavenger Hunt. The energy was contagious and they really got the group excited about the activity. It was nice to do something to not only foster team building but also to give back to the community.
NicoleBiogen Idec Inc.What a great day Boston Capital had on your Locate and Donate Scavenger Hunt. It would not have been successful without your professional staff. And I very much appreciated the flexibility you had with us when we had a brain cramp over the potential Nor’easter that was forecast for that day. We were able to have an indoor and outdoor event due to your readiness. Thanks for everything!
TrishBoston CapitalIt’s [the SmartHunts App] a great use of technology. It allows us to have fun while helping people – which is perfect for a company like Omnicell.
RobertOmnicellWe’ve had a great time on this SmartHunt today. We’ve been exploring, seeing the sites, taking photos and videos. It’s been amazing! You really should look into doing a SmartHunt with your team. Thanks!
NancyErnst & YoungWe had a great experience with our Locate & Donate SmartHunt in Seattle. The event was executed as anticipated and your team was quick to assimilate last minute changes requested by our management team. Those changes enabled us to gather much needed content directly related to our event. The SmartHunts event delivered what was promised: character-building, emotional activities, which left a lasting impression upon our teams and the Seattle community. Thank you for your service and contribution to our event. It was a cost-effective event for which our employees fully enjoyed. We’ll be looking to see where SmartHunts fits into future events.
BenCatalina MarketingOur 1,450-person Located and Donate SmartHunt was very organized. The best team building aspect was the technology and the response time for each team’s submission. The most fun was networking with team members. Our entire group enjoyed their SmartHunt very much. It really ran smoothly and was a great event!
DebbieSiemens MedicalOur Locate and Donate SmartHunt experience was fantastic. I got to meet new team members at Lowe’s, people that I don’t interact with on a daily basis.
SueLowe’sThe best parts of today’s Locate and Donate program were the SmartHunt app, working with our teammates, and getting to know other people who work here at Merrill Lynch.
HeatherMerrill LynchI’ve really had a great time, this has been completely different from anything I’ve ever done in terms of teambuilding, in terms of corporate activities. To paraphrase, it broke the ice with a lot of people I don’t get to interact with on a day-to-day basis. And I think it really helps build the community spirit of the company, which is already going strong, but always glad to have new opportunities. So, cheers!
LindaCyberarkThey loved it! Our group had a blast playing with the I-pads; working together to find clues and the building of the care packages at the end. As a whole, your group enjoyed all the activities in our Locate and Donate SmartHunt and thought their program director was really great!
