Collection of Information
In general, the Company does not collect personally identifiable information of Users unless a User provides such information to the Company when using services provided by the Company (such services offered by the Company from time to time to its Users are referred to herein collectively as the “Services”). This personally identifiable information may include information that can be used to identify or contact a User, such as the User’s name, e-mail address, mailing address, and telephone number (“Personal Information”). If a User elects to access one of the Company’s fee-based Services, the Personal Information of that User may include credit card information provide by the User.
Solely for the purposes of confirming valid traffic from certain pay-per-click search engines, IP addresses for such Users are monitored, and may be compared to the records of that search engine.
How the Company Protects and Uses Personal Information
The Company uses the Personal Information of a User to provide the Services to the User, and to respond to customer service or support questions. The Company has appropriate security measures in place within its database and physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that has been collected on the Site. These measures include limiting the number of people who have physical access to the Company’s database servers, as well as electronic security systems and password protections which guard against unauthorized access.
The Company does not intentionally or knowingly collect Personal Information of children under the age of 13, nor do we offer any content targeted to children. Prior to collecting any Personal Information about a child that the Company has become aware is under the age of 13, the Company will make reasonable efforts to contact the child’s parent, to inform the parent about the types of information the Company will collect, how it will be used, and under what circumstances it will be disclosed, and to obtain consent from the child’s parent to collection and use of such information. A child’s parent or legal guardian may request the Company to provide a description of the Personal Information that the Company has collected from the child, as well as instruct the Company to cease further use, maintenance and collection of Personal Information from the child. If a child voluntarily discloses Personal Information or other personally identifiable information Services of the Company that are available for viewing by Site visitors or other Users, such disclosures may be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other parties.
Third Party Websites
The Company may maintain links to other websites on the Site. If a User chooses to visit other websites from the Site, the Company will not be responsible for the privacy practices or content of those other websites. It is the User’s responsibility to review the privacy policies at those websites to confirm that they are acceptable prior to use.
Although the Company makes every effort to preserve User privacy, the Company may need to disclose or provide access to Personal Information if the Company has a good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with the law, such as in connection with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process.
