A Family Feud Style Team Building Game for Teams Who Love to Compete

BEST Corporate Feud brings the fun, laughter, and friendly rivalry of a live survey-style game show to your corporate event. Led by a professional facilitator and featuring face-off podiums, buzzers, custom game boards, music, sound effects, and real-time scoring, teams compete to identify the most popular survey answers and rack up points through fast-paced rounds of play.

Teams are called to the stage throughout the show, while seated teams remain part of the action through audience interaction, All Play questions, and opportunities to weigh in on answers still left on the board. For larger groups, mobile trivia can be incorporated between stage rounds, allowing teams to compete from their seats and creating an additional path to the finale with no app or download required.

With strikes, steals, team banter, and plenty of unexpected answers, BEST Corporate Feud is designed to keep the entire room engaged and laughing from the opening face-off to the championship round.

How BEST Corporate Feud Works

The experience begins with a lighthearted icebreaker and team formation, followed by a brief introduction from the game show host. Teams are then called to the stage for head-to-head Feud rounds, where captains face off at the podium before their teams compete for control of the board.

Throughout the program, seated teams remain involved through audience interaction and All Play opportunities. Scores are tracked across the event, with the highest-scoring teams advancing to a winner-take-all finale. When mobile trivia is incorporated, the top trivia team can also earn a spot in the championship round.

The program concludes with gold medals awarded to the winning team.

The Game Show was fantastic!  From beginning to end, everyone had a wonderful time, and I found out we have some very competitive folks in our company. The winning team wore their medals the next day Great time had by all.

Indy was over the top wonderful as the host.  Everyone expressed how much they enjoyed his witty personality, and he seemed to be having a good time with the group. Pam was great to work with as well. She’s very patient, which I appreciated as I was scrambling to get her information.

The overall experience was amazing.  Thank you for your patience while final decisions were being made on our end and for putting the event together quickly.  “Re-match” was said by several people, which could lead to a second round of Feud in the future…  Thank you & your team again for a wonderful experience!

Our Best Corporate Feud event was very organized. I believe that the icebreaker exercise was critical. It got people up and moving – letting go – so they could enjoy the game. The most fun was the competition itself. Boy, we are a competitive group. As a whole, our group loved the activities. It was a surprise – they were not told in advance. Everyone I spoke with had a blast.

A big THANK YOU for all your help with this project. We really appreciate your patience and cooperation, as this event went down to the last minute in every way. The game show was a big hit. Everyone had fun and your facilitators were really great! They made everything very easy for us, they showed up on time, started and ended the program on time, cleaned up quickly, and left without a hitch. Everyone playing was engaged and having fun. It was also very good for us to see them in action. This will much better help us sell more of these to clients who are looking for team building activities. We’re so glad we made this connection with Best Corporate Events and we will be working together again soon!

FAQs about Family Feud-Style Team Building Games

How does a Family Feud-style corporate game show work as a team building activity?

A Family Feud style team building game show works by dividing your group into competing "families" or teams, then challenging them to match the most popular survey-based answers to fun, often workplace-themed questions. The excitement comes from fast-paced buzzer rounds, audience participation, and the unpredictable energy of live competition. In a corporate setting, this format is particularly effective because:
  • Everyone can participate — not just the people on stage
  • Customizable questions allow your organization to include questions about your specific company or industry
  • A live emcee drives energy, keeps the pace, and creates memorable moments
The game includes icebreaker activities to warm up the room before competitive rounds begin. This structure encourages employees to interact across departments, laugh together, and bond in a low-pressure way. Whether you're hosting a sales kick-off, a company anniversary celebration, or a networking event, a game show format is one of the most reliably crowd-pleasing formats available. It's worth exploring if you're looking for something beyond the typical happy hour.

What group size works best for a game show team building event?

One of the most common questions about game show team building events is whether they work for both small and large groups — and the good news is that a well-designed game show like Best Corporate Feud can scale effectively across a wide range of attendance sizes. Here's a general framework for how group size affects the experience:
  • Small groups (30–50 people): More intimate; everyone on stage gets significant airtime, and side conversations are easier to manage.
  • Mid-size groups (50–200 people): The "sweet spot" for game show formats. You have enough energy in the room to create a real audience atmosphere while teams still feel personally invested.
  • Large groups (200–1,000+): Audience participation is key to keep everyone engaged beyond the stage. Best Corporate Feud’s audience response system keeps the whole group actively part of the fun throughout the game!
The key to making any size work is a format that distinguishes between players (those competing in rounds) and audience members (the rest of the group), while giving the audience meaningful ways to interact with the game. If you're planning a large event, ask about interactive technology options that can bring every attendee into the action.

What makes a game show format effective for employee engagement at corporate events?

A well-designed corporate team game show effectively keeps employees engaged and having fun. Game show events are effective for employee engagement because they:
  • Reduce social barriers — structured competition gives people a natural reason to interact with colleagues they don't normally work with.
  • Create shared emotional peaks — laughter, surprise, and friendly rivalry form stronger memories than passive experiences like keynote presentations alone.
  • Reward participation over performance — A variety of survey-style game show questions doesn’t require expertise in just one area over another, so every personality type and background can contribute meaningfully.
  • Energize the room — a skilled emcee and real-time scoring create sustained momentum throughout the event
A game show isn't just a fun break from the workday — it's a practical tool for building the kind of familiarity that makes collaboration easier back at work. If you're planning a corporate event and want something that's both engaging and impactful, a game show format is worth serious consideration.
