What team building activities improve communication?

The ones where the team cannot complete the task without listening, explaining and deciding together. A game show forces fast agreement under a clock; a build program (a guitar, a bridge, a raft) forces a plan that everyone understands; a behavioral workshop (DiSC, Colors, Belbin) gives the team a shared language for how each person prefers to give and take information.

Fifteen of the sixteen programs on this page carry Communication under Goals & Outcomes on their own pages; Virtual Best Corporate Feud is included as the remote edition of Best Corporate Feud. A professional facilitator runs every program and closes it with a short discussion of what the team noticed, which is the difference between an activity and a program.

Best Corporate Feud (1 to 1.5 hours) and A Minute 2 Win It! (1.5 to 2 hours) run for 30 to 1,000+ in teams of 6 to 10; teams have to agree fast, out loud, with a clock running.
Build programs
Build-a-Guitar®, Build-a-Band® and Bridge to the Future take 2 to 2.5 hours in teams of 10; Pipeline and Build-a-Raft Competition take 1.5 to 2 hours. Every team has to plan, divide the work and fit the pieces together.

Behavioral workshops
DiSC Workshop, Colors Behavioral Assessment and Belbin Behavioral Assessment are 3 to 4 hour indoor sessions with a professional trainer, for any group size, on how each person works and communicates with others.

What clients say

We have done game shows at all of our sales meetings in the past, but your Best Corporate Feud program using keypads that involved everyone at the event with the game show ending was the most innovative and inclusive game show we have ever done.

I have never seen my group so energetic. We have done many different team building activities in the past but “Light Speed” was by far the best. After the program, I heard many folks stating “I’m exhausted from laughing so hard!” and “We had so much fun”! I would recommend Light Speed to any group who is looking for energy level 10!
