What are creative team building activities for adults at work?
Creative team building activities give a team an open brief and a set of materials, and the outcome is something the group made. Corporate Canvas has participants add their own brushstrokes to a large-scale company mural. Chocolate Architect and Gingerbread Architect are themed structures built from candy, frosting and chocolate. Catapult, Go-Kart Competition and Momentum are design problems with a test at the end: a launch, a race or a chain reaction. Food Truck Face-Off and Fiesta Fun! are culinary competitions judged on creativity and presentation as well as taste.
Creativity here means resourcefulness under a clock. Each team works from a kit or a supply of materials with a professional facilitator, and the program ends with a showcase, a tournament or a judging table where the whole group sees what every team came up with.

Creative formats
- Make something
- Corporate Canvas (1.5 to 2 hours), Chocolate Architect and Gingerbread Architect: a company mural, or a themed structure built from candy, frosting and chocolate.

- Food Truck Face-Off and Fiesta Fun!: culinary competitions with a brief, a judging table and medals for the winning teams.
- Build and give back
- Mini-Golf Build and Food Donation, Hydroponics for Hunger and Charity Game Show: the course, the grow kits or the check goes to a charity or food bank at the end.

Frequently asked questions
Do participants need artistic skill?
No. Corporate Canvas runs with a professional facilitator, canvases, paints, brushes and markers, and each participant adds their own brushstrokes and signature to the mural; 2 to 4 painters share a canvas. The build programs, such as Chocolate Architect, Catapult and Momentum, come with kits and materials, and the work is planning and building rather than drawing.
Which creative programs run indoors?
Corporate Canvas, Chocolate Architect, Gingerbread Architect, Food Truck Face-Off, Momentum, Best Corporate Feud and Charity Game Show are indoor programs. Catapult, Go-Kart Competition, Mini-Golf Build and Food Donation, Fiesta Fun!, Bridge to the Future and Hydroponics for Hunger run indoors or outdoors. See indoor team building activities for the full indoor list.
How long do creative team building activities take?
Most run 1.5 to 2 hours: Corporate Canvas, Chocolate Architect, Gingerbread Architect, Catapult, Go-Kart Competition, Fiesta Fun!, Momentum, Mini-Golf Build and Food Donation and Hydroponics for Hunger. Food Truck Face-Off and Bridge to the Future run 2 to 2.5 hours. Best Corporate Feud and Charity Game Show run 1 to 1.5 hours.
How many people can take part?
The programs on this page are built for groups of 30 to 1,000 or more, and Corporate Canvas is open to any group size. Across the whole catalog, Best Corporate Events runs groups from 30 to 6,000 and up. Participants work in teams: 2 to 4 painters per canvas, 6 to 8 for Catapult and Momentum, 6 to 10 for the game shows and 10 for the rest.
What space and equipment do we need?
Plan on 20 square feet per person for Chocolate Architect and Gingerbread Architect, 25 to 35 for the culinary, game show and charity programs and Momentum, and 30 to 40 for Catapult, Go-Kart Competition and Bridge to the Future. Catapult, Go-Kart Competition, Momentum, Bridge to the Future and Mini-Golf Build need a microphone and sound system for groups of 50 or more; game shows need a projector, screen and audio.
What is included?
Every program comes with a professional facilitator, program design and production coordination, and the materials for the activity: canvases and paints, chocolate and candy, build kits, go-kart supplies and safety blueprints, or utensils and recipe sheets. Awards or medals come with Catapult, Go-Kart Competition, Momentum, the culinary competitions and both game shows. For Food Truck Face-Off and Fiesta Fun!, the venue provides the ingredients at the client's cost.
Who runs the program?
A professional facilitator leads every program, with event staff on the larger builds. Best Corporate Feud and Charity Game Show come with a game show host, and Food Truck Face-Off adds an MC. Best Corporate Events has run programs since 2010 and delivers them nationwide with no added travel costs in the continental U.S.
Can we customize a creative program?
Yes, within the format. Corporate Canvas murals are designed to reflect your brand, values and team. Each section of the Bridge to the Future bridge represents your future mission and goals. Chocolate Architect and Gingerbread Architect structures are built to a theme, and Best Corporate Feud survey questions are written for corporate groups. Tell your program specialist what the group should walk away with.
Is there a virtual option?
The programs on this page are delivered in person at your venue, since each one needs floor space per participant and hands-on materials. For a remote or hybrid team, see our virtual team building programs.
Can a creative program give back?
Yes. Mini-Golf Build and Food Donation builds a mini golf course from canned and boxed food that goes to a food bank after the tournament. Hydroponics for Hunger ends with the group assembling hydroponic grow kits for community organizations. Charity Game Show concludes with a check donation to the charity of your choice; the donation amount is not included.
