Computers are the gateway to independence for unprivileged children who must become familiar with technology to become productive members of society in their adult lives.

Over the years, Best Corporate Events has developed an extensive network of charities across the country. We partner with them to deliver our clients’ generous donations to those most in need.

We also rely upon them to keep us up-to-date on what items are most in demand at any given time. From food donations to military care packages, from bikes and wagons to wheelchairs for the mobility-challenged, from guitars for school music programs to iPods for people with varying stages of Alzheimer’s. Our clients’ programs have affected the lives of tens of thousands of people in need.

Recently, it has come to our attention that what many schools, after-school programs, and organizations caring for children need the most are computers. Computers can be the key to success and independence for many unprivileged children.

It is this need that we have addressed with our fun Build-a-Computer team-building program that features a series of challenging team “construction” activities, culminating in the building of computers and workstations for children’s schools and after-school programs, including organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs.

Arthur Fletcher put it best when he coined the well-known phrase, “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.” We agree and hope that this program has an immediate impact on children who have the desire to succeed and just need the tools to accomplish that goal.
