Reawaken Memories with Music for Alzheimers' Patients

Project Alzheimer’s™ is a heartfelt charitable team-building experience inspired by the documentary Alive Inside and the remarkable connection between music and memory. This music memory program empowers your group to support individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia by donating MP3 players and comfort items that help spark recognition, joy, and emotional connection. Through engaging music-themed challenges, teamwork, and shared purpose, participants contribute to a cause that has a profound and immediate impact on the lives of elderly residents in care facilities.

Teams earn donation items by completing fun music and memory-based activities, all designed to energize participants while deepening their appreciation for how powerful familiar songs can be for those experiencing memory loss. As groups assemble care packages with MP3 players, headphones, and comfort items, they gain a meaningful understanding of how these tools help elder care professionals reintroduce cherished memories to those who need them most.

Program Agenda

The program begins with an impactful introduction featuring clips from Alive Inside to help participants grasp the emotional importance of their contribution. After a lively music-themed icebreaker, teams move into a series of challenges delivered through Brainstorm, our browser-based platform that includes trivia, photo and video tasks, and interactive prompts.

As teams earn points, they collect MP3 players, headphones, stuffed animals, blankets, markers, and additional items needed to complete each memory-support care package. The session concludes with a reflective wrap-up that highlights the significance of the donation and the real-world difference these tools make for seniors in memory care.

What Clients Say About Project Alzheimer’s™

Our Project Alzheimer’s event yesterday was great.  I have received very positive comments from our entire group about the activity and about your lead facilitator. All in all it was a spectacular event and I would like to thank your entire team for their support.

I want to thank Best Corporate Events for all the work you are doing with your Project Alzheimer’s program. This has been one of the best volunteer efforts I have seen so far and the staff and residents are really, really, happy with the outcome. I spoke with our Director of Clinical Services and she was very thrilled and appreciative of the iPod care packages, so thank you very much!

Helping people afflicted with Alzeimer’s was very rewarding. Your Project Alzheimer’s program with iPads was a success with our group from Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development.

This generous donation enabled us to introduce music in memory to many residents in our Allen Morgan Health Center with Alzheimer’s and dementia who continue to need memory support and will highly benefit from the new means of music therapy. We also thank you for donating handmade blankets, cards, and crossword puzzle books. We distributed these to our residents here for short-term rehab. Often times they are admitted straight from the hospital without personal items that make it feel like home so these gifts truly mean so much to them.

On behalf of Dolan Memory Care Homes, I would like to thank you for the generous package of Project Alzheimer’s supplies for our residents. Music and Memory has been an incredible addition to our enrichment programs and the residents thoroughly enjoy it. I’ve attached some pictures for you to enjoy as well. Thank you again! Your hard work and dedication is appreciated.
