Project Alzheimer’s™ is a unique charitable activity for teams from any company or organization, designed to help people living with Alzheimer’s reawaken their souls through the simple and profound experience of listening to their favorite music — there is no greater reward than that!
The film “Alive Inside,” which explores the connection between music and memory, inspired us. This connection is rooted in extensive neuroscience research and the results can be nothing short of miraculous.
Fun and energizing music and memory-themed competitions will enable your group to earn MP3 players and other donation items for the elderly. These musical favorites tap deep memories not lost to dementia and can bring residents and clients back to life, enabling them to feel like themselves again, to converse, socialize and stay present. The organization receiving your donation trains elder care professionals in how to set up the MP3 players for those in their care.
This heartwarming event kicks off with a moving program introduction along with footage of the film “Alive Inside” which will enable your group to understand and appreciate the tremendous impact of their donation items. After an upbeat music-related ice-breaker, teams begin earning points by working on activities presented via iPads® involving music trivia, photo, and video clues.
As the teams gain points, they earn MP3 players, headphones, knot blanket kits, stuffed animal kits, markers, and all the tools necessary to complete the care packages.
Donating items that can literally change people’s quality of life will touch your group’s hearts and elevate morale, creating lasting memories that can later be shared via a link to the photos/videos captured on the iPad!
This generous donation enabled us to introduce music in memory to many residents in our Allen Morgan Health Center with Alzheimer’s and dementia who continue to need memory support and will highly benefit from the new means of music therapy. We also thank you for donating handmade blankets, cards, and crossword puzzle books. We distributed these to our residents here for short-term rehab. Often times they are admitted straight from the hospital without personal items that make it feel like home so these gifts truly mean so much to them.
On behalf of Dolan Memory Care Homes, I would like to thank you for the generous package of Project Alzheimer’s supplies for our residents. Music and Memory has been an incredible addition to our enrichment programs and the residents thoroughly enjoy it. I’ve attached some pictures for you to enjoy as well. Thank you again! Your hard work and dedication is appreciated.
Our Project Alzheimer’s event yesterday was great. I have received very positive comments from our entire group about the activity and about your lead facilitator. All in all it was a spectacular event and I would like to thank your entire team for their support.
Helping people afflicted with Alzeimer’s was very rewarding. Your Project Alzheimer’s program with iPads was a success with our group from Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development.
I want to thank Best Corporate Events for all the work you are doing with your Project Alzheimer’s program. This has been one of the best volunteer efforts I have seen so far and the staff and residents are really, really, happy with the outcome. I spoke with our Director of Clinical Services and she was very thrilled and appreciative of the iPod care packages, so thank you very much!
