Project Alzheimer’s™ is a unique charitable activity for teams from any company or organization, designed to help people living with Alzheimer’s reawaken their memories through the simple and profound experience of listening to their favorite music – there is no greater reward than that!
The film “Alive Inside,” which explores the connection between music and memory, inspired us. This connection is rooted in extensive neuroscience research and the results can be nothing short of miraculous.
Fun and energizing music and memory-themed competitions will enable your group to earn MP3 players and other donation items for the elderly. These musical favorites tap deep memories not lost to dementia and can bring residents and clients back to life, enabling them to feel like themselves again, to converse, socialize and stay present. The organization receiving your donation trains elder care professionals in how to set up the MP3 players for those in their care.
This heartwarming event kicks off with a moving program introduction along with footage from the film “Alive Inside” which will enable your group to understand and appreciate the tremendous impact of their donation items.
After an upbeat music-related ice-breaker, teams begin earning points by working on activities presented via our new Brainstorm, a no-download experience for participants, with music trivia, photo, and video clues, and the ability to shoot photos and video of your team in action.
As the teams gain points, they earn MP3 players, headphones, blankets, stuffed animal kits, markers, and all the tools necessary to complete the care packages.
Donating items that can literally change people’s quality of life will touch your group’s hearts and elevate morale, creating lasting memories that can later be shared via a link to the photos/videos captured throughout the event.
Our historically popular iPad activities are still available upon request.
I want to thank Best Corporate Events for all the work you are doing with your Project Alzheimer’s program. This has been one of the best volunteer efforts I have seen so far and the staff and residents are really, really, happy with the outcome. I spoke with our Director of Clinical Services and she was very thrilled and appreciative of the iPod care packages, so thank you very much!
