Where Connecticut groups meet

Our Connecticut events cluster in two places. In and around Hartford, insurance, healthcare and manufacturing teams meet at the Connecticut Convention Center or in their own offices. In Fairfield County, Stamford, Greenwich and Norwalk host financial services and pharmaceutical groups, and Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket takes the largest meetings. Our facilitators bring every kit, so the venue can be your own office.

More about corporate events in Hartford, CT

Getting there

Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks sits about halfway between Hartford and Springfield, Massachusetts, and is the second-largest airport in New England. By rail, the CTrail Hartford Line runs from New Haven Union Station through Wallingford, Meriden and Berlin to Hartford Union Station and on to Springfield, with connections south toward New York.

Matching the room to the group

The Connecticut Convention Center on the Hartford riverfront calls itself the largest convention facility between New York and Boston, so a charity build for several hundred people fits with room to spare. For a team of 15 to 80, a hotel function room in Stamford or New Haven, or your own conference room, is plenty for a game show, a training session or a packing build.

Team building in Hartford, Connecticut: questions we get

What are the best team building activities in Connecticut?

The Bike Build Donation is the one Connecticut groups book most, from downtown Hartford to Stamford. When a meeting has only an hour free, A Minute 2 Win It! or Trivia Blast Live! fits any ballroom, and a SmartHunt takes the group outdoors in Hartford when the weather is good.

Do you run team building outside Hartford?

Yes. Besides Hartford and West Hartford, we have run activities in Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk, Fairfield, Milford, New Haven, Danbury, Berlin, Shelton and Mashantucket. We travel anywhere in the state, from the Litchfield Hills to the shoreline.

Which Connecticut venues have you worked in?

The Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Foxwoods Resort Casino, the Hyatt Regency Greenwich, the Hilton Stamford, the Cambria Hotel in New Haven, Sacred Heart University and Water’s Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook. Many Connecticut teams simply book us into their own offices.

Is there an outdoor option in Hartford?

Yes. A SmartHunt sends teams on foot through downtown Hartford with iPads, and late spring through early fall gives the best weather for it. From November to March we suggest a ballroom build or a game show.

What group sizes have you handled in Connecticut?

From a healthcare team of 13 up to 500 at Foxwoods. The builds and A Minute 2 Win It! grow easily with headcount, and the facilitated training sessions work well for a dozen people.

How much time should we set aside?

Plan on 90 minutes to two hours for most activities. Build-A-Guitar runs 2 to 2.5 hours, and the training sessions 2 to 3 hours.

Can remote colleagues join a Connecticut event?

They can. Our game shows can run hybrid, with players in the Hartford room and others on a video link, and for a team that is entirely remote we run virtual activities over Zoom or Teams.

When should we reserve a date?

Six to eight weeks ahead works for most of the year. Ballrooms in Hartford and Fairfield County go faster in spring and fall, so reach out ten weeks before then.
