Boston Corporate Events Case Study

Lauren, a meeting planner at one of the nation’s largest communications companies, contacted us for her upcoming Boston corporate event. She was looking for a company to deliver corporate team building. During our initial call, our sales team took the time to learn about the company, their goals, and their objectives for their event.

It wasn’t long until we discovered Best Corporate Events was already hired by their remote office in Salt Lake City to deliver a Bike Build Donation®, and we knew we were a perfect match.

Based on our conversation with Lauren, we learned the key goals of the event were to:

  • Utilize common service language and improve planning.
  • Tie all missions and goals together.
  • Improve increased desired level of excellent customer service.
  • Strengthen Communication – Their entire team speaks the same language.
  • Sharpen Planning skills – proactive and not reactive
  • High energy

We presented our top 3 recommendations to the company as Competition to Collaboration, Igniting Team Performance, and Bridge to the Future. These are all high energy team building programs which could help Lauren’s team accomplish all its goals. It was just a few days later, Lauren contacted BEST to notify us that Bridge to the Future had been chosen for their event. We couldn’t wait to get started planning this event for Lauren and her team!

Our Bridge to the Future™ teamwork activity is perfect for large groups. Sub-teams work together to build a bridge that represents the future goals and aspirations of your organization. It has the structural integrity to support the entire group for team pictures.

There are two amazing aspects of this bridge-building event. Each section is an independent and artistic representation of the organization’s future mission and goals. The structure is assembled using only cardboard and duct tape as the primary building materials.

With the company’s focus on project management skills and creative ingenuity, leaders were chosen and were responsible for ensuring tight deadlines were met. Each team delegated roles, including cardboard cutters, column designers, decorators, and builders.

Team leaders were occasionally called together for project management meetings to discuss and share strategies and cross-share information with other leaders to ensure total success. These meetings were critical since all of the sub-teams must complete their sections simultaneously to be brought together for the final bridge assembly. Once the bridge was complete, the entire group walked across the bridge to prove its structural integrity and to pose for memorable photos.

We executed a successful Bridge to the Future for 250 employees at The Boston Park Plaza Hotel. Each section of the bridge featured a theme and one corporate pillar component the individual group wanted to focus on.

The Boston Park Plaza Hotel is a very cherished hotel located in Boston’s Back Bay. With its ideal location and impeccable service, the Boston Park Plaza Hotel is the perfect location to bring your corporate event Boston together. The 55,000 square feet of contemporary and elegant meeting space was the ideal environment for this group to assemble their Bridge to the Future.

    What is a Keynote Speaker?

Keynote Speaker is an often-misunderstood term associated with simply a motivational speaker, breakout speaker, industry expert, etc. Most professional speakers are not actual trained Keynote Speakers, who are specialists, therefore in much lower supply, and in higher demand.

Keynote Speakers are experienced, professional communicators who engage an audience, capturing the essence of a client’s meeting. They are able to highlight it to their audience while simultaneously delivering their own key concepts and proprietary content in an entertaining and impactful way. Most companies understand that this specialization is very much worth the time (around an hour) and the investment.

In order to capture the perfect essence, a Keynote Speaker spends the necessary time researching a client’s industry, their issues, and their audience to craft a customized presentation into a unique and distinctive moment specifically for the client’s event.

As a top Keynote Speaker, Tom Leu strategically uses compelling storytelling, humor, powerful visuals, audio and video clips, and audience participation elements to weave an impactful message into your event in a fun and memorable way. Tom can also pair his Keynote with Best Corporate Events programming, laying a foundation and setting a tone that best prepares participants for maximum engagement in the forthcoming team events that day.
