The past 16 months have been both challenging and rewarding for our company. The pandemic posed a lot of new and unique challenges to businesses everywhere, and the events industry especially. So, Best Corporate Events had to come up with new and unique solutions to address those challenges, custom tailoring our efforts to the situation at hand.

For many years we have been able to offer our experience in customizing and delivering great programs to our corporate clients and DMC partners. Whether we tailored our programs to fit with the rest of a DMC client’s agenda or created an original program for a client with a vision and a need for our expertise, customization has been a valuable tool.

For the last year-plus, customization has become even more important, not just for tailoring program content, but also for providing quality customer experiences by listening to our DMC partners about the needs of their clients. Information provided by DMCs and meeting planners allows us to tailor our entire business accordingly to the needs of the time, from adapting to virtual environments for planning, producing, and delivering events, to tailoring event parameters to a wide variety of different platforms, time frames, time zones, previous program experiences, and beyond. Conducting a thorough needs assessment allows us to provide the client with a unique experience that fits their specific needs and goals from planning to execution.

Challenging times are the perfect time to innovate. Not only do challenges present reasons to innovate, creating innovative solutions can put a silver lining on a difficult situation and help launch an even more successful future.

That’s how innovation helped Best Corporate Events. During the pandemic, we had to innovate to adapt to the rapid changes that affected the world of events. Our team came up with innovative ways to build new kinds of programs and use new technology solutions to virtually deliver our existing programs. Listening to the needs of our customers and DMC partners allowed us to rise to the challenge and create innovative ways to provide them with the types of programming they were looking for to support their teams while working remotely, and keep spirits up during challenging times.

Combining in-person and virtual programming was our next challenge. We needed to develop hybrid events for companies that wanted to include their remote employees in their in-person meetings and events. Our innovations with virtual programming laid the groundwork to allow us to introduce and deliver hybrid programs with help from our sister company SmartHunts. We added some additional features, including Zoom integration, to the SmartHunts app, giving it all the capabilities necessary to create a hybrid platform that could deliver exciting interactive hybrid programs.

Innovation took Best Corporate Events from an in-person team building company – to a live, virtual, and hybrid corporate team building, training, and entertainment company in one year!

The last 16 months have been a rollercoaster for everyone in the event industry – Best Corporate Events included. Despite the many challenges this time has presented, we have weathered the storm and come out on the other side better than ever. We have also learned a lot from this unusual year – with three main themes. Reinvention, Innovation, and Customization.

Because of the effects of the pandemic, the events world changed basically overnight. Within a week, we had already started on our journey of reinvention, creating, developing, and launching virtual events based on over 25 years of experience designing in-person team building activities, charitable CSR events, SmartHunts, and professional development programs. We had to take those decades of experience and reinvent ourselves to fit a new format, and the new and changing needs of our clients and DMC partners. Those efforts resulted in the launching of over 60 virtual team events, building a strong foundation for a segment of our business that will prove beneficial to our clients and partners for a long time to come.

Meanwhile, we took advantage of the opportunity to revisit each of our live events and applied the same reinvention philosophy to further improve our existing programs in anticipation of getting back to in-person. We also had the chance to reinvent our client relationships, to re-establish old relationships, and develop new partnerships within the DMC sphere.

      What is a Keynote Speaker?

Keynote Speaker is an often-misunderstood term associated with simply a motivational speaker, breakout speaker, industry expert, etc. Most professional speakers are not actual trained Keynote Speakers, who are specialists, therefore in much lower supply, and in higher demand.

Keynote Speakers are experienced, professional communicators who engage an audience, capturing the essence of a client’s meeting. They are able to highlight it to their audience while simultaneously delivering their own key concepts and proprietary content in an entertaining and impactful way. Most companies understand that this specialization is very much worth the time (around an hour) and the investment.

In order to capture the perfect essence, a Keynote Speaker spends the necessary time researching a client’s industry, their issues, and their audience to craft a customized presentation into a unique and distinctive moment specifically for the client’s event.

As a top Keynote Speaker, Tom Leu strategically uses compelling storytelling, humor, powerful visuals, audio and video clips, and audience participation elements to weave an impactful message into your event in a fun and memorable way. Tom can also pair his Keynote with Best Corporate Events programming, laying a foundation and setting a tone that best prepares participants for maximum engagement in the forthcoming team events that day.
