When ScanSource asked us if we could design a Race Car program for them, we said, “Sure, we can design and deliver just about anything.” Then they told us there would be one 1,000 participants. “No problem!” we replied. Then they told us they wanted their employees to build their own cars…out of Legos! Wow, that’s a lot of Lego pieces we thought. And it was! We first had figured out all the essential parts we needed to buy for each car, like heavy metal Lego car chassis for speed, wheels, drivers, and windshields. Then we order a ton of random Lego pieces for building custom car bodies. But the biggest job came after all the shipments arrived at our production center. We had to make up random kits for each car and put them on a scale so each car kit weighed the same. Our production staff built one of the four-lane, 30-foot tracks complete with a starting gate and automatic electronic scoring board at the end. Then they each assembled a car and the races were on! They had a great time and so will your group – thanks to a request from ScanSource.

I think our interns really enjoyed the entire Donation Nation Care Packs program. The use of the iPads to do team activities and collaborate together was great and your lead facilitator was phenomenal. He was on time, organized and enthusiastic throughout the entire day! The best “team building” aspect of our Build-a-Wheelchair program was the interactive questions and tasks that needed to be done together on the iPads.
