With its monuments, memorials, and fine cuisine, there is an abundance of sites to see. We had the pleasure of working with Capital City Events in planning a corporate team building activity for one of its clients and their 780 attendees. When they wanted to WOW their clients with a flawlessly executed team-building program, they contacted BEST. We were able to offer a variety of team-building options with dozens of meetings and event function space. From Charitable give back events like Bike Build Donation to help local children or Donation Nation Care Packs to help veterans.
Our signature City SmartHunt seemed like the right choice for the meeting attendees to be able to get outside and experience all the city has to offer. The end client was excited to engage their employees and stir up some friendly competition while having fun in this popular scavenger hunt.

The event’s starting point was at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. They are situated in the historic center of D.C. in iconic Woodley Park. Attendees enjoyed the beautiful landscaping and elegant ballroom as they prepared to set out into the city. The Washington Marriott Wardman Park offers 195,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space includes an on-site exhibit hall, conference rooms, breakout rooms, and ballroom venues of various sizes. The City SmartHunt® is a creative way to experience the essence of your destination. Photo missions, video challenges, and trivia questions guide teams on a corporate scavenger hunt through monumental attractions, historic sites, and local gems. Your customized hunt, pre-loaded on our provided Apple iPad Minis, is tailored to fit your company objectives, group size, and location. If desired, our hunts can even include orienteering and geocaching.
Before teams walk out the door, the SmartHunt® begins with an introduction during which teams will learn how to navigate the SmartHunts App. After an energizing activity guided by our facilitator, teams are on their way!
Our SmartHunts App uses AT&T 4G LTE services and Wi-Fi to record photos, document videos, and conduct scoring. GPS tracking and a one-way messaging system allow facilitators to stay connected with teams throughout the hunt. Our proprietary app will never lose connectivity due to our system that incorporates triple connection redundancy.
As teams use strategy to navigate through the hunt efficiently, all photos and videos documented are presented in a slideshow at the concluding awards ceremony. Winning team members will also receive gold medals.
After the SmartHunt, we will send you a secure link to a private webpage that contains all the photos and videos shot by your group. The page also includes a professional highlight video that will be provided two weeks post event date.
