Knowing how cliché team building can be there is always a concern that staff will glaze over and miss the intended message and overall goal that the team building activity brings. I have to share that not only were those concerns squelched within the first ten minutes of the networking event but absolutely disintegrated as the day progressed. I personally have been through many a team building exercise over the course of the last 20+ years and this was by far the best experience I have ever had and I walked away a better person (even though I did not participate in all the exercises).
Ben and his team were exceptional; I am in awe at how easily Ben was able to connect with the entire audience some of which are NOT at all open to this type of engagement. Ben’s ability to navigate all types of personalities and adapt himself to each and every instance positively is a joy to witness. Not one person in the room this past weekend was exempt from his infectious positivity and everyone at some point was engaged, smiling, and having fun. Below are full comments from the team that I wanted to share – they are already trickling in and I expect to get more of the same in the coming days:
