The cocoa bean, basis for most modern chocolate products, has a rich and varied history, including purportedly holding central importance in the ancient Aztec culture as both currency and an offering to deities. Our Chocolate Architect program gives teams the opportunity to not only learn more about chocolate, but to serve up an offering of their own: an architectural creation made entirely of chocolate that forges collaboration with their fellow participants. It’s a fun and delicious corporate event!

“New York, New York! A helluva town!” –Bernstein, Comden, and Green, authors of ‘On the Town’

spideySmartHunts, our high-tech scavenger hunts featuring an Apple iPad for every team, are spreading! As part of our partnership with Planet Hollywood® and Buca di Beppo®, SmartHunts® are now available in Las Vegas… and the one and only Times Square in the heart of New York City!  Whether it’s sightseeing throughout the area and running into celebrity look-a-likes who help you on your journey or bonding with the Godfather’s ‘family,’ these programs are unique, full of energy, and incredibly fun! Plus, they actively make teams better at collaborating and sharing information.  We’re proud to offer SmartHunts that include dinner and drinks at a star-studded location, right in the heart of the Big Apple!

Did you know that many of Best Corporate Events’ most popular programs now include the added high-tech element of Apple iPads for every team without additional cost?  It’s true!  With Chili Cook-Off, that means our spicy southwestern culinary competition is now even hotter, with our proprietary application enhancing the fun with text, audio, and video.  Check out this video, with teams having an absolute blast wearing cowboy hats, preparing their recipe, performing jingles, crafting clever displays, and receiving medals for the top teams’ success.  With or without the technological upgrade, Chili Cook-Off is undeniable fun with team building that really works!

Just like any great team, Best Corporate Events sometimes runs on its stomach! This shot is from a dinner break during our semi-annual four-day brainstorming meeting. Partners and select lead facilitators from around the country joined some of our headquarters’ staff at a local restaurant in Clearwater, Florida.

Never underestimate the power of positive rewards!  Just as they do in many of our corporate event offerings, the top teams participating in the Catapult program receive a real award medals for their success.  It’s a tangible way of rewarding active participation, innovation, and exceeding expectations, and it truly works – look at the grins on the face of the team member holding up his medal in this video!  Because the winners get to keep those rewards and bring them back to the office environment, they remain a physical reminder of the collaboration, fun, and learning at which they excelled!

“Learn to say ‘no’ to the good so you can say ‘yes’ to the best.” -John C. Maxwell

bbClients often ask which programs are our best sellers, so we’ve launched a new page on the Best Corporate Events website: Top Ten Events!  It features our most popular events – with links to their individual pages containing full descriptions, videos, and requirements – and will be updated every six months with the latest data.  Looking for team building programs that have been honed to perfection and truly work?  You’ve found them!

Sometimes, when you see numbers flash across a screen, they don’t have much meaning. So let’s put the incredible statistics in this video of our program Bridge to the Future™ in context.  First it shows 100 participants building a 56 foot-long bridge.  That’s the average length of a railroad car.  And the latter part of the video, 500 people build a 215-foot bridge.  That’s 2/3 the length of an entire football field, and our lead facilitator successfully drove a golf cart over this cardboard and duct tape bridge the entire length!  Check it out!

Welcome to the BEST blog, a collection of team building articles, industry insights and news about our large collection of programs and events offered in locations across North America.

      What is a Keynote Speaker?

Keynote Speaker is an often-misunderstood term associated with simply a motivational speaker, breakout speaker, industry expert, etc. Most professional speakers are not actual trained Keynote Speakers, who are specialists, therefore in much lower supply, and in higher demand.

Keynote Speakers are experienced, professional communicators who engage an audience, capturing the essence of a client’s meeting. They are able to highlight it to their audience while simultaneously delivering their own key concepts and proprietary content in an entertaining and impactful way. Most companies understand that this specialization is very much worth the time (around an hour) and the investment.

In order to capture the perfect essence, a Keynote Speaker spends the necessary time researching a client’s industry, their issues, and their audience to craft a customized presentation into a unique and distinctive moment specifically for the client’s event.

As a top Keynote Speaker, Tom Leu strategically uses compelling storytelling, humor, powerful visuals, audio and video clips, and audience participation elements to weave an impactful message into your event in a fun and memorable way. Tom can also pair his Keynote with Best Corporate Events programming, laying a foundation and setting a tone that best prepares participants for maximum engagement in the forthcoming team events that day.
