Shark Showdown

Shark Showdown graphic

Shark Showdown is inspired by the hit TV show Shark Tank. The key to success in this fun, fast-paced, team building event is creativity and execution. Our kickoff activities will form your group into schools, pods, or shivers – better known in our business as “teams.”

Each team in this team building program will be given the challenge of fulfilling a public need by creating a product for the sharks. Teams will need to use creativity, ingenuity, and some mechanical skills to design and build their new invention.

Participants will be provided with building materials and iPads®. Additional items will be available for “purchase “at our company store with points accumulated by the teams completing challenges presented to them on their iPads.

After everyone has completed their product and designed their marketing plan, they will film their 2-minute presentation on their iPads.

The three teams with the best video presentation will come before the sharks with their prototype, marketing materials, slogan, commercial or any other visuals they think will win over the sharks. Organization and delegation are the key elements in this team building competition.

After presenting their new product, the sharks will have time to question the teams about their inventions. At the conclusion of the Q & A, each shark will give the team a score between 100 and 500 points. Once scores are tallied, it’s on to the awards ceremony, where all winning teammates will receive a “Shark Tooth” medallion for their efforts!

To ensure a great experience, aspects of these team building activities may be modified for your group size, group makeup, time available, and other variables.

Client Comments

"Shark Tank is one of my favorite TV shows. There are variations of this program all over the world, including Dragon’s Den in Canada and England and Den D in the Czech republic. The more I watched these shows, the more I thought a hybrid version of this concept would make a great corporate event. It really unleashes the competitive and creative juices of the participants as they brainstorm to come up with a product and marketing campaign to fill a public need."
